SM Ticketmaster Enters The Philippines Promising Massive Concert Upgrades
Concert lovers across Metro Manila just got the biggest live entertainment news of the year. SM Prime Holdings officially joined forces with global giant Ticketmaster to completely overhaul our local ticketing experience. The two powerhouses will soon launch the highly anticipated SM Ticketmaster platform.
SM Prime President Jeffrey C. Lim promises a highly secure and technologically seamless purchasing experience for Filipino consumers. This joint venture integrates Ticketmaster’s massive digital infrastructure and anti-fraud systems with SM Prime’s unmatched local reach.

What To Expect During The Big Transition
Managing Director Mike Mangubat leads the new SM Ticketmaster ecosystem. SM Tickets will transition all existing sales platforms to the new system over the coming weeks. Fans must complete early registration on the new site to secure uninterrupted access to highly anticipated upcoming ticket drops.
The new unified platform will handle complete lifecycle operations for live events. The company will also aggressively pitch its end-to-end services to third-party venues and independent promoters.
Naturally, the platform will dominate ticket sales for SM Prime’s massive real estate portfolio. You will use SM Ticketmaster for major shows at these prime locations:
- SM Mall of Asia (MOA) Arena
- SMDC Festival Grounds
- SM Seaside Cebu Arena (opening this year)
The Elephant In The Room
The internet erupted with mixed reactions following the Friday announcement. Many fans celebrated the upgraded technology, while others immediately remembered Ticketmaster’s controversial overseas reputation.
International fans frequently accuse the global ticketing giant of secretly selling tickets to scalpers to mark up prices. Massive system failures recently disrupted ticket sales for music heavyweights like Taylor Swift, Bad Bunny, Drake, and Oasis.
Massive Concerts Hitting Manila Soon
SM Prime venues already boast a packed entertainment slate for the rest of the year. You can expect to test out the new SM Ticketmaster system when grabbing passes for these major international acts:
- Grammy-nominated jazz-pop artist Laufey
- K-pop titans ITZY and Exo
- Western pop favorites Charlie Puth, LANY, Jason Mraz, and 5 Seconds of Summer
