The acclaimed singer-songwriters turn their friendship and shared creative wavelength into their first co-written single about choosing love amid uncertainty.

Singer-songwriters dwta and Arthur Miguel are teaming up once again for their third collaboration, unveiling their new single “At Kung Sakali,” out now via Sony Music Entertainment.

Following their previous collaborations, “Lihim (Nuarin Sasabihon)” and “Tahan Na,” the new track marks a special milestone for both artists. For the first time, dwta and Arthur Miguel wrote a song together in the same room, turning a casual creative session into a fully realized single.

The collaboration began without any plans for an official release. What started as an opportunity for the two friends to simply experiment with songwriting eventually became “At Kung Sakali,” a warm and intimate track shaped by their natural chemistry and shared creative instincts.

dwta and Arthur Miguel Write Their First Song Together

While their previous collaborations were written separately, “At Kung Sakali” allowed dwta and Arthur Miguel to work side by side from the beginning.

“Actually, our past collaborations were both written separately,” dwta explains. “Arthur wrote ‘Lihim (Nuarin Sasabihon),’ while I wrote ‘Tahan Na.’ We never really tried writing a song together before, so this time we thought, why not?”

The song was written in just half a day. Without the pressure of creating a release, the two artists approached the session with openness and spontaneity.

“At first, we were really doing it for fun. We didn’t even have any plans to release it or anything. We just wanted to see what we could come up with, and we were already happy just making something together,” dwta shares.

However, the resulting song immediately resonated with their team, eventually leading to its official release.

The experience also reflects the friendship dwta and Arthur Miguel have developed since their first collaboration in 2023.

“I think one of the reasons we keep coming back to working with each other is because of the friendship we built since our first collaboration back in 2023,” dwta adds.

“At Kung Sakali” Explores Love, Doubt, and Possibility

At the heart of “At Kung Sakali” is the uncertainty that comes with imagining a future with someone.

The song explores the questions that naturally arise when people begin thinking about what could happen in a relationship, particularly when life does not unfold according to plan. Through the playful imagery of a dollhouse or bahay-bahayan, the track transforms those uncertainties into an affirmation of choosing love anyway.

For dwta and Arthur Miguel, the song also represents a new creative direction.

“‘At Kung Sakali’ is also our first collaboration that’s really about being in love,” dwta explains. “Our first collab was about confessing your feelings, while our second one was more about heartbreak and hope. This time, we’re in our ‘in-love’ era even though we’re both happily single.”

The shift is particularly fitting for two artists who have become known for songs that explore heartbreak, longing, and complicated emotions.

“We’re both actually known for making heartbreak songs, so it was fun to make something that’s warmer and purer this time,” she adds.

Luke April Produces the New Single

Producer Luke April joined the project during the production process, helping shape the track while preserving the spontaneity that defined its songwriting.

The production took place on a separate day after dwta and Arthur Miguel completed the song.

“We did the production on a separate day from the songwriting, and Luke April joined us in producing the song,” dwta shares.

After hearing the finished composition, their team saw its potential as an official release. With everyone available and enthusiastic about the project, the song quickly moved from an informal writing session to a collaboration ready for listeners.

The result is a tender addition to both artists’ growing catalogs, capturing a different side of their artistry while building on the creative connection established through their previous releases.
