MMFF 2026 Movie Tickets Will Cost No More Than ₱299
Last Updated on July 8, 2026 by Over Here Toronto
MMFF 2026 movie tickets will cost no more than ₱299 for regular screenings this holiday season. The Metro Manila Film Festival has officially set a price cap in a move aimed at making the annual festival more affordable for moviegoers.
And yes, ₱299 is the maximum — so some cinemas could charge even less. The announcement comes months after organizers said they planned to review ticket prices following the 2025 festival.
MMFF 2026 Movie Tickets Are Capped at ₱299
Regular cinema tickets for MMFF 2026 films cannot cost more than ₱299 during the festival.
The price cap doesn’t mean every ticket will automatically cost exactly ₱299. Instead, cinemas can set lower prices, but regular screenings can’t go above the new maximum.
So, depending on where you watch, your Christmas movie plans could cost even less.
The Festival Wants More People Back in Cinemas

The lower ticket price comes after MMFF organizers began discussing ways to make moviegoing more affordable.
Earlier this year, officials floated the possibility of ticket prices dropping as low as ₱200 or ₱250, depending on discussions with cinema owners and producers. The final decision now gives moviegoers a clear maximum to expect.
For families or friend groups planning to catch more than one entry, the cap could make a real difference. After all, one MMFF movie is rarely enough when everyone has a different pick.
MMFF 2026 Is Also Expanding Beyond Metro Manila
The cheaper tickets aren’t the only change coming to the festival this year.
For the first time, Bacolod City will join San Juan and Mandaluyong as an official host city. The festival also plans to bring movie promotions and a Parade of Stars to Bacolod in December.
Meanwhile, the main Parade of Stars is expected to begin in Mandaluyong and travel through San Juan before ending at Pinaglabanan Shrine.
Four Movies Are Already in the Lineup

The first four official MMFF 2026 entries were revealed on July 7.
The lineup currently includes 2nd Miracle in Cell No. 7, Amir, Haunted Carnival and The Greatest Showdown. Four more films will join them later, bringing the final festival lineup to eight entries.
With cheaper regular tickets and more films still to come, deciding what to watch might be the harder part.
