“LOL: Last One Laughing Philippines” Season 2 has revealed its new cast ahead of its October 30, 2026 premiere on Prime Video. Vice Ganda returns as host as 10 Filipino comedians try to make each other laugh while keeping a straight face for six hours.
The new lineup brings together names from television, stand-up, live comedy, and digital content. Ethel Booba, Epy Quizon, Long Mejia, Candy Pangilinan, Pooh, Donna Cariaga, Chariz Solomon, Esnyr, James Caraan, and Charuth will enter the competition this season.
The last comedian standing will take home ₱1 million.
Meet the ‘Last One Laughing Philippines’ Season 2 Cast
Season 2 brings in a completely new group of competitors:
- Long Mejia
- Epy Quizon
- Candy Pangilinan
- Ethel Booba
- Pooh
- Donna Cariaga
- Chariz Solomon
- Esnyr
- James Caraan
- Charuth
The lineup puts longtime comedy performers in the same room as newer names who built audiences through stand-up and online content.
That mix could change the way the game plays out.
Each comedian has a different way of getting laughs. Some rely on characters and physical comedy. Others come from stand-up, television, improv, or online sketches.
Still, being funny is only half of the job.
Every contestant also has to stop themselves from laughing at everyone else.
Vice Ganda Returns as Host
Vice Ganda will return to oversee the competition.
The comedian and It’s Showtime host led the Philippine version when it first arrived on Prime Video in 2024.
Vice watches the contestants from outside the main room and keeps track of who breaks the rules.
A smile or laugh can put a player at risk.
That makes the host part referee and part audience member as the comedians try increasingly strange ways to break each other’s poker faces.
Vice has already spoken about the new season on It’s Showtime, telling viewers that the second lineup gave the competition a different feel.
Season 2 also reunites Vice with another batch of comedians from different parts of the Philippine entertainment scene.
The Comedians Have Six Hours to Survive
The main rule remains simple: do not laugh.
All 10 contestants stay together for six hours.
During that time, they can use jokes, characters, props, performances, conversations, and other comedy tactics to make the rest of the group break.
At the same time, they must control their own reactions.
That creates two jobs for every player. They need to attack by making other contestants laugh while also defending themselves from everyone else’s jokes.
Even a small reaction can matter.
Prime Video says viewers can expect spontaneous performances and interactions as each contestant tries to find a weak spot in the group.
The comedian who survives the challenge takes the win and the ₱1 million prize.
Season 2 Puts Different Generations of Comedy Together
One of the main changes this season is the contrast within the cast.
Veterans such as Long Mejia, Epy Quizon, Candy Pangilinan, Ethel Booba, and Pooh will compete beside performers from a newer generation.
Esnyr built a large online following through comedy videos and character work.
James Caraan has roots in stand-up comedy, while Donna Cariaga and Chariz Solomon bring backgrounds in television and live entertainment.
Charuth also joins the group as part of the new lineup.
Showrunner Randolph Longjas said the differences between the comedians were part of what interested him about the season.
“I’m really looking forward sa mga nagpipigil ng tawa.”
He also pointed to the contrast between younger and older performers and the different ways they approach games and comedy.
Those differences could become important once everyone enters the same room.
Some Contestants Already Know Each Other
Another part of the new season comes from the cast’s past connections.
Longjas said some contestants have worked together before. Others may have personal links that viewers do not immediately know about.
That history could make it harder for some players to keep a straight face.
A joke between longtime friends may land differently from one coming from a stranger. At the same time, contestants who already know each other’s comedy styles may have a better idea of what will make them laugh.
Longjas has kept many of those connections under wraps.
Viewers will get to see some of them unfold once the contestants meet inside the competition.
Chad Kinis Won the First Season
The Philippine version of Last One Laughing first premiered in 2024.
Season 1 featured Chad Kinis, Jerald Napoles, Rufa Mae Quinto, Empoy Marquez, Pepe Herrera, Tuesday Vargas, Jayson Gainza, Kim Molina, Negi, and Victor Anastacio.
Chad Kinis became the first Philippine winner and took home ₱1 million.
The first season ran for six episodes on Prime Video.
It also produced short comedy clips that later circulated widely online.
Season 2 keeps the same main idea but resets the competition with a completely different cast.
That means none of the first-season contestants will return as regular competitors in the announced lineup.
Randolph Longjas Returns for Season 2
Original showrunner Randolph Longjas is also back.
Longjas said he is interested in seeing how the new group reacts when they first enter the room and see who they will be competing against.
The second season comes from Amazon MGM Studios in association with UXS Inc. (Unitel/StraightShooters).
The Philippine show is part of the wider Last One Laughing franchise.
Its format traces back to the Japanese comedy competition Documental, created by comedian Hitoshi Matsumoto.
Different countries have since made their own versions with local comedians and hosts.
