Design Week Philippines 2026 is bringing hands-on workshops, creative activities, and design events to Pasay City until October 18. The program includes LEGO robotics sessions, pottery, upcycled crafts, basket weaving, and art activities for children and families.

The event marks the 15th year of Design Week Philippines, organized by the Design Center of the Philippines. This year’s theme, “Sama All,” encourages people to work together through design, creativity, and shared community activities.

The Design Fair runs from October 15 to 18 at the Likhang Filipino Exhibition Halls in the International Trade Center Complex along Roxas Boulevard, Pasay City. Visitors can join selected workshops, attend design activities, and take part in programs that connect art with practical skills.

Most workshops are free and include materials. However, registration does not guarantee a slot, so participants should arrive at least 10 minutes before their chosen session.

For the complete schedule and registration details, visit the official Design Week Philippines website.

LEGO Robotics Workshops Let Participants Build and Program Robots

The center features two white text boxes: the top box reads "LEGO ROBOTICS WORKSHOPS with Felta Since 1966 'We Modernize Education'" alongside images of LEGO EV3 robotic builds. The lower box provides event details: "15-18 October 2026 / Likha Tent" and invites visitors to "Visit bit.ly/SamaAllRegistrations to view the full schedule and secure your slot!". LEGO robotics is one of the main attractions for students, children, and families during the remaining event days.

The sessions introduce participants to robot building, programming, movement, and practical design challenges. Beginners can join without prior robotics or programming experience.

On Friday, October 16, two sessions are scheduled. The Smart Mobility Challenge runs from 9 a.m. to noon for teenagers aged 13 to 17. Participants will design a robot that can move through a course and deliver an object.

The Interactive Robotic Installation follows from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Participants can create a moving design that uses elements such as light, sound, or sensors.

On Saturday, October 17, children aged 8 to 12 can join Build Your First Moving Robot from 9 a.m. to noon. The afternoon session, Family Robot Rescue Mission, runs from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. and lets families build and program a robot together.

The workshops are free and include materials. Interested participants can check the registration pages for the Smart Mobility Challenge, Interactive Robotic Installation, Build Your First Moving Robot, and Family Robot Rescue Mission.

Pottery and DIY Crafts Offer Hands-On Activities

Visitors who prefer working with their hands can also find several craft sessions during the fair.

The pottery workshop, titled “Spin, Mold, Paint: A Hands-on Pottery Experience,” is scheduled for Friday, October 16, from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. It gives participants a chance to work with clay and learn basic pottery techniques. However, its online registration form currently shows as closed, so check the official event page for updates on any remaining slots.

Another activity is “No Cap, Just Craft: Upcycled Plastic Keychains,” scheduled for Friday, October 16, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Participants can turn upcycled plastic into personalized keychains. The session is free and includes materials. Registration is available through the official workshop form.

On Saturday, October 17, participants can join “Punihan ang Kinabukasan: Basket Weaving by Punique” from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. The workshop introduces basket weaving using pre-cut leaves and provided tools. Participants can make their own baskets with guidance from facilitators. The activity is free, and visitors can register through the basket-weaving workshop page.

These sessions give participants a chance to learn practical techniques while making something they can take home.

Sunday Brings More Art and Upcycling Workshops

The final day of Design Week Philippines, Sunday, October 18, includes more activities for children, families, and people interested in creative projects.

“Fish Are Friends, the Remake” runs from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Gallery 1 of the Likhang Filipino Exhibition Halls. The upcycling workshop connects craft-making with marine conservation. Participants can turn plastic materials into keychains, bag charms, or mini plushies.

The session is free and includes materials. Interested visitors can check the official mini plushie workshop form.

Children can also join “Plants and Prints for Kids” from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the venue’s Urban Garden. Participants collect fallen leaves and use them to make printed artwork with paint and foam rollers. The activity introduces children to plant-based art and waste reduction. Each participant can take home their artwork.

Registration is available through the Plants and Prints for Kids form.

Other activities listed for October 18 include sketching, cardboard character-making, painting, paper circuits, and fragrance design. Check the official event calendar for the full schedule.

Design Week Philippines Connects Creativity With Everyday Life

The workshops form part of a wider program that brings design into different areas of daily life. Instead of focusing only on finished products or exhibitions, the event gives visitors opportunities to try different methods and learn new skills.

Robotics sessions introduce technology and problem-solving. Pottery and basket weaving focus on materials and manual techniques. Upcycling workshops show how discarded items can become useful or decorative objects.

The Design Center of the Philippines describes the idea behind this year’s program with the message, “design is more powerful when we design together.”

The event also includes a Design Fair from October 15 to 18, along with other exhibitions and activities. Visitors can check the official schedule to plan a visit around their preferred workshops.
