Last Updated on October 21, 2026 by Lovely Prescilla
Novocrane has earned Jack Daniel’s On Stage: The Chosen One recognition, standing out among 35 independent Filipino acts.
The milestone caps the band’s journey through the three-year music program. It also brings fresh attention to their first international performance and upcoming “DUNKIN” music video launch.
Alongside fellow finalists ALYSON and August Wahh, Novocrane reached the program’s final three. The band ultimately claimed its top honor.
From Solo Project to Four-Piece Band
Novocrane’s growth played a central role in the recognition. During the program, the act evolved from a solo project into a four-piece band.
Their journey began with Chapter One: Playlist Live in 2024, which marked their first Manila show. They continued with Chapter Two: Mixtape in May 2026, joining a collaborative showcase featuring selected program artists.
Beyond those performances, Novocrane released music, organized an album bar tour and collaborated with fellow independent artists. Each step helped the band strengthen its sound and identity.
Gabriel Fajardo of Jack Daniel’s Philippines highlighted that commitment to creative growth.
“They have a distinct identity as artists, a dedication to developing and evolving their craft, while remaining open to growth and collaboration.”
Taking Filipino Indie Music to Bali
Jack Daniel’s Philippines supported Novocrane’s appearance at AXEAN Festival 2026 in Bali, Indonesia. Fellow finalist ALYSON also performed at the regional showcase.
For Novocrane, the festival marked their first international show. It also introduced their music to regional audiences, festival programmers and industry professionals.
Vocalist Kai described the experience as both emotional and meaningful.
“To be able to travel the world because of our music is such an amazing thing.”
Band member Henz emphasized that performing overseas never required them to abandon their identity. They brought the same music, energy and individuality that shaped their performances back home.
The experience gave Novocrane space to connect with new listeners while staying grounded in their own sound.
“Dunkin!” Signals What Comes Next
Novocrane now carries that momentum into its next chapter. The band has released its latest single, “Dunkin!,” and is preparing its debut EP.
They have also confirmed another international festival appearance. Details remain under wraps.
Meanwhile, fans have a closer opportunity to join the band’s growing story. Novocrane will launch the “DUNKIN” music video on October 22, 2026, at Mono By Phono in Makati City.
For listeners who enjoy catching rising Filipino acts early, this launch deserves a place on the calendar.
A Platform for Independent Filipino Artists
Jack Daniel’s On Stage supported artists through live showcases, collaborations and creative exchanges. The program helped participating acts develop their craft and connect with audiences beyond their usual circles.
Although the program has concluded, Jack Daniel’s Philippines says its support for music will continue.
For Novocrane, the recognition marks a starting point for further releases, performances and international opportunities.
