Eng Bee Tin’s National Hopia Day is back for its second year — and this time, the celebration is bigger, bolder, and more flavorful. From exclusive pop-ups to limited-edition treats, this 113-year-old Filipino-Chinese institution is giving the nation even more reason to indulge in the flaky, nostalgic pastry we all love: hopia.

At the heart of this year’s celebration is the highly anticipated launch of Hopia Etneb, a special edition hopia priced at just P20. The name “Etneb” is a playful flip of the Filipino slang for “bente” (20), reflecting not only its price but the brand’s continued commitment to affordability and community connection.

A P20 Hopia That’s Big on Flavor

Hopia Etneb isn’t just affordable — it packs bold flavor, too. Made with classic monggo filling infused with robust kapeng barako, it’s a nod to tradition with a modern, caffeinated twist. The flavor concept emerged from a conversation with Manila Mayor Isko Moreno during last year’s event, but the spotlight remains on the product itself: a simple but meaningful treat that brings people together.

The hopia comes in packs of two, priced at P20 (that’s just P10 per piece), and is available for a limited time only — until the end of July — at all Eng Bee Tin branches nationwide. Customers can buy up to five packs per day, making it the perfect pasalubong or afternoon snack.

A Truly National Celebration

For the first time ever, National Hopia Day is going nationwide, with events and discounts across Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao. Pop-up booths are open in Robinsons Galleria Cebu (July 16–20) and Gaisano Mall Davao (July 23–27), bringing the hopia party closer to regional fans.

Aside from Hopia Etneb, Eng Bee Tin is rolling out other limited-edition flavors, including:

  • Chili Mansi
  • Kapeng Barako
  • Pineapple with Salted Egg
  • Sisig
  • Durian

Month-Long Promos and the Hakot Challenge

Customers can enjoy 10% off all Mondays in July and 20% off during the main event weekend from July 18 to 20 in all stores nationwide. Eng Bee Tin is also offering a National Hopia Day Bundle (P500) featuring Hopia Sisig, Hopia Durian, and Philippine Mango Cake — a value-packed set perfect for sharing.

Adding more excitement to the festivities is the Hopia Hakot Challenge, where lucky participants can scoop up to P15,000 worth of hopia goodies in just 30 seconds.

A Celebration Rooted in Community

For Eng Bee Tin, hopia is more than just food — it’s a symbol of comfort, culture, and connection. “Every hopia tells a story,” said Roche Chua, Finance Manager. “Through National Hopia Day, we celebrate Filipino traditions and the delicious flavors of home.”

Whether you’re in Metro Manila or provinces across the country, there’s never been a better time to rediscover hopia. And at just P20, Hopia Etneb makes it easier than ever.
