Ayala Museum Makes History by Opening Doors to Pets for First Ever Pawseum Day
If you are a Filipino fur-parent, you already know the drill. Our pets are family. From quick coffee runs in Greenbelt and mall hangouts to weekend trips out of town, our furbabies are our ultimate plus-ones. But have you ever imagined taking your dog or cat on an artsy, educational date through Philippine history?
The wait is finally over. In celebration of National Pet Month this April 2026, the prestigious Ayala Museum is making history of its own by allowing pets inside its galleries for the very first time.
Dubbed Pawseum Day, this highly anticipated, one-day-only event is happening on Sunday, April 26, from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Hosted alongside Biyaya Animal Care, the event brings together cultural exploration, interactive bonding, and meaningful animal advocacy.

A Historic Walkthrough for You and Your Furbaby
For years, we have walked past the museum doors wishing we could share the cultural experience with our four-legged companions. Pawseum Day finally bridges that gap. As highlighted in recent lifestyle reports covering the Pawseum Day launch, this move towards inclusivity recognizes pets as integral parts of our community.
The highlight of the event is the rare opportunity to explore the museum’s iconic 2nd-floor Diorama Experience of Philippine History alongside your cat or dog. It is an incredible way to bond while learning about the fascinating contributions animals have made throughout our nation’s history.

Down on the ground floor, the museum transforms into a vibrant, pet-friendly haven. You can expect:
- The Advocacy Hub: Listen to insightful guest talks from experts centered on responsible pet ownership and animal rights.
- Interactive Activities: Get your paws on a coloring sheet to draw your pet family, which you can then add to a curated installation on the Pledge Wall. This wall actively supports the ongoing nationwide campaign for a stray-free and rabies-free Philippines.
- Curated Merchant Booths: Shop for premium treats, stylish accessories, and essentials that are guaranteed to make your pet’s tail wag.
How to Join the Pawseum Festivities
Because this is a highly curated event prioritizing the safety and comfort of both the animals and the museum’s precious artifacts, walk-ins are strictly prohibited. You must secure your slots ahead of time.
Tickets are priced affordably to encourage pet lovers to join the cause:
- With a Pet (₱300): Includes access to the ground floor festivities and the 2nd-floor Diorama Experience for one human and one pet.
- Without a Pet (₱200): Don’t have a furbaby? No problem! Pet allies and animal welfare supporters can still join the fun, listen to the talks, and explore the exhibits.
To secure your passes, you must pre-register directly through the official Ayala Museum Pawseum Day registration portal.
Important Guidelines for a Safe Pawseum Experience
To ensure a smooth, secure, and mess-free environment for everyone, the organizers have put strict protocols in place. As responsible pet owners, here is what you need to prepare before heading to Makati:
- 1:1 Pet-to-Guest Ratio: To ensure you can properly supervise your animal, you may bring only one pet. If you want to bring a second furbaby, you must purchase an additional ticket and bring another human companion to assist you.
- Health and Identification: Bring an updated vaccination record or an Ayala Malls Pet ID for registration upon entry.
- Hygiene Rules: Your pet must wear a full diaper at all times while inside the museum premises.
- Safety Gear: You must keep medium to large pets on a short leash. We highly encourage you to use strollers or pet carriers for smaller cats and dogs.
- Species Limit: Pawseum Day welcomes only cats and dogs (aside from certified service animals).
- Gallery Restrictions: You may bring your pets only to the Ground Floor and the 2nd-floor Diorama Experience. Other galleries remain off-limits to animals. Museum staff will manage entry to the Dioramas in batches to prevent overcrowding and reduce stress for the pets.
Pawseum Day gives Filipino pet lovers a meaningful way to advocate for animal welfare while creating core memories. Grab your leash, pack those extra diapers, and get ready for a museum date your furbaby will never forget.
