Osaka’s Michelin-Recognized Yakitori Spot ‘Ikoka’ is Now Open in BGC
Good news for Japanese food lovers in Manila. Ikoka, a yakitori chain from Osaka that has been recognized by the Michelin Guide, has officially opened its first Philippine branch in Bonifacio Global City.
Known for its perfectly grilled skewers and signature sweet and savory tare sauce, Ikoka aims to bring an authentic Japanese grill experience to the city. The opening is a collaboration with the Vikings Group.

What Sets Ikoka Apart
While there are many yakitori spots in the city, Ikoka stands out for a few key reasons:
- Michelin Bib Gourmand Recognition: The original restaurant in Japan has been awarded a Bib Gourmand every year since 2019.
- Binchotan Charcoal Grilling: They use a high-quality, long-burning Japanese charcoal that is odorless and cooks the skewers perfectly.
- Signature Tare Sauce: A special sticky, savory glaze is used to give the skewers their distinct flavor.

Other Dishes & Desserts Beyond skewers, the menu also features dishes like the Torimomo No Karaage (₱310), a Japanese-style fried chicken, and the Ikoka Salad (₱380). For dessert, you can try the Mitarasahi Dango (₱100) or Shiratama Ice Cream (₱120).
