Ladurée Returns to Manila with First Southeast Asia Flagship at BGC

After a six-year hiatus, Ladurée is back in Manila—and this time, it’s making a statement. The iconic French pâtisserie has opened its first Southeast Asia flagship at One Bonifacio High Street in BGC, bringing Parisian elegance and world-famous macarons to the heart of Taguig.

A Parisian Experience, Reimagined for Manila

Stepping into the new Ladurée Café and Salon de Thé feels like entering a dream. The space features bespoke interiors—from feathered accents and custom lighting to floor-to-ceiling glass and Philippine-exclusive wallpaper. While design elements nod to classic Ladurée stores, the Manila flagship introduces unique details meant to reflect local flair.

Managing Director Mélanie Carron emphasized that each Ladurée store is unique, but all share the brand’s identity. “You’ll know it’s Ladurée,” she said, “but not the same one you’ll find in Paris, Dubai, or Tokyo.”

Why the Philippines?

Carron said choosing Manila for the first Southeast Asian flagship was no accident. She called the Philippines “fast and strong” and praised its vibrant culture. Partner Karan Gopwani, CEO of Gastronova Group, echoed this, adding, “We wanted this to feel like Ladurée was made for the Philippines, not just brought here.”

The result is Ladurée Tropical, a flagship concept designed for local tastes while staying true to French roots.

Meet the Macarons (and More)

Macarons remain the star. Executive Chef Katrina Torres, trained in Paris under Ladurée’s Global Executive Chef Julien Alvarez, leads the Manila kitchen. She helped launch a lineup of classic macaron flavors, including:

  • Salted Caramel (predicted Filipino favorite)
  • Vanilla (Chef Kat’s pick)
  • Rose, Citron, Pistachio, Coffee, Marie Antoinette Tea, and more

Each macaron costs P140, with gift boxes ranging from P1,050 (6 pieces) to P3,700 (24 pieces).

But the menu goes beyond sweets. You’ll also find:

Viennoiserie:

  • Ladurée Croissant (P220)
  • Walnut Croissant (P270)
  • Pain au Chocolat (P280)

French Pastries:

  • Ispahan (P720)
  • Vanilla Millefeuille (P700)
  • Fondant au Chocolat (P1,500)

Drinks:

  • Full espresso bar and signature lattes (Chai, Rose, Matcha, Affogato) priced between P180 to P320

A Dining Destination, Not Just a Dessert Stop

This new flagship combines both a café for casual visits and a Salon de Thé for full-service dining. The dual setup offers guests a chance to enjoy everything from coffee and croissants to curated savory meals using local ingredients like ube and calamansi.

As Gopwani put it, “This is more than an international brand—it’s a cultural exchange.”
