SB19 closed its three-part music story with “Wakas at Simula: The Trilogy Concert Finale” on April 18, 2026. Pablo, Josh, Stell, Ken, and Justin performed before a sold-out crowd at the SMDC Festival Grounds in Parañaque City.

The concert linked songs from different parts of the group’s career through a story about sacrifice, growth, and starting again. It also featured guest acts, large stage sets, dance groups, short films, and a drone display.

“Wakas at Simula” served as the final concert connected to SB19’s three major releases: “Pagsibol,” “Pagtatag!,” and “Simula at Wakas.”

The group began the “Simula at Wakas” world tour with two Philippine Arena concerts on May 31 and June 1, 2025. The tour later travelled to cities across Asia, North America, the Middle East, and Oceania before ending in Perth, Australia, in December 2025.

Soon after the final tour stop, SB19 announced the April 2026 finale.

The words in the title were reversed for the closing concert. “Simula at Wakas” means “Beginning and End,” while “Wakas at Simula” means “End and Beginning.”

The switch matched the show’s main message. An ending does not always mean everything is finished. It can also mark the start of another part of the story.

A Concert Built Around Sacrifice

The team behind the show spent about a year planning its story, stage, and visual details.

Iana Forbes, creative services manager at 1Z Entertainment, said sacrifice guided the production from its early planning stage.

“It should be medieval, and it should be about sacrifice,” Forbes told Inquirer Entertainment.

That idea could be seen across the outdoor stage. The production included castle-like structures, guards, statues, a large tree, a book, and an apple.

These items were tied to the story instead of being used only as background decorations. Some had also appeared in posts and clues shared with A’TIN before the concert.

The planning team released puzzles, coded messages, and short story clues during the campaign. Fans could follow the posts and try to work out how each clue connected to the finale.

Songs Helped Tell the Story

Creative director and writer Mikko Angeles divided the show into sections known as “rites.”

Each section marked a step in the members’ path. The story followed the idea of leaving an older self behind before moving into a new stage.

Songs drove each part of the tale. The concert opened with “DAM,” “What?,” “Gento,” and “Everblack,” according to GMA’s event coverage.

The set also included slower and more emotional tracks such as “Ilaw” and “Liham.” This gave the show a mix of strong dance numbers and quieter moments.

SB19 remained involved throughout the planning process, even while travelling for tour dates and other work. Angeles said the members joined discussions from the first idea to the final setup.

Paolo Valenciano directed the concert, while 1Z Entertainment and Live Nation Philippines served as co-producers.

SB19 Shares the Stage With Other Acts

Japanese group BE:FIRST joined SB19 as a guest act.

The group performed “Toyfriend,” “Be:First All Day,” and “Boom Boom Back.” Its part used space-based and machine-like visuals that helped connect the songs to the concert story.

The finale also gave newer 1Z Entertainment acts time in front of the large crowd.

Hip-hop artist J2X and girl group XONARA appeared during the show. W3, Mari Dance, and choreographer Rie Hata were also part of the production.

Angeles said SB19 was “not afraid to share their spotlight.”

That part of the show matched the group’s larger goal of helping Filipino performers reach more listeners. SB19 used one of its biggest concerts to introduce acts that are still building their names.

The Drone Show Marks an Emotional Ending

A drone display became one of the final parts of the night.

Forbes said she cried while watching it because the scene marked the end of a project that had taken about a year to build. The moment brought together the concert’s story and the work done behind the stage.

Still, the team did not treat the finale as a complete stop.

Forbes referred to a semicolon in the concert narrative. Her comment suggested that the trilogy had ended, but SB19’s larger story would continue.

The group is already moving toward more international appearances. Live Nation lists SB19 for Lollapalooza at Grant Park in Chicago on July 30, 2026.
