Beloved Makati Bakeshop Panaderya Toyo Finally Reopens After 3 Years

· · ·

Metro Manila foodies have a massive reason to celebrate this month. The beloved Makati bakeshop Panaderya Toyo officially reopened its doors to the public after a quiet three-year hiatus. Culinary power couple Chef Jordy and May Navarra revived their artisan bread haven with a leaner, more casual concept.

A Fresh Take on the Classic Neighborhood Panaderya

Instead of a full-service dine-in space, the bakery now operates as a charming takeout window. You can easily grab your daily bread from their spot along the driveway of Karrivin Plaza on Chino Roces Avenue Extension. The new layout draws heavy inspiration from traditional Filipino bakeries.

Customers simply choose their favorite fresh bakes straight from the display. Staff members wrap the warm bread tightly, letting you take the comforting scent of freshly baked goods right on the go.

The Ultimate Menu Return

Fans will instantly recognize the star items that originally defined Manila’s artisan bread conversation back in 2017. Panaderya Toyo tightened its menu to feature the absolute essentials for a perfect breakfast or merienda run.

The bakery proudly brings back these crowd-favorite budol finds:

  • Potpot Pandesal: Sourdough-leavened, fist-sized treats with a crunchy breadcrumb crust.
  • Bicho: Satisfying twisted dough available in rich tsoko, saba, and keso flavors.
  • Inipit: Savory sandwich options featuring classic egg or sharp kesong puti.
  • Leche Pan: Sweet, soft, and utterly comforting bread rolls.

They also offer a curated coffee selection to perfectly pair with your morning pastries.

How to Get Your Daily Bread Fix

The Panaderya Toyo team officially sparked the ovens back to life with a massive “Bready to Rambol” block party. They teamed up with local heavyweights like Ijo Bakery, Rebel Bakehouse, Scratch, and By Sonja to enthusiastically welcome the community back.

You can visit the takeaway window from Mondays to Saturdays, starting bright and early at 8:30 a.m. Make sure you arrive early because the shop only operates until supplies last. The masterminds behind the highly acclaimed Toyo Eatery clearly know exactly how to draw a crowd.
