Iman Fandi’s new EP Afterglow is out now, marking the Singaporean singer’s first EP as an independent artist. Released on September 25, 2026, the project brings together the confident pop and R&B direction she has been building through this year’s singles “Tip Toes,” “Out Of My Mind,” and “IT IS.”
For Filipino listeners, the release follows Iman’s recent connections with P-pop group KAIA and RAMONA, Andrea Brillantes’ musical alter ego, as she continues expanding her music across Southeast Asia.
‘Afterglow’ Is About Choosing Yourself
At its core, Afterglow focuses on confidence, growth, ambition, and knowing when to put yourself first.
The EP follows the tension between wanting connection and knowing when it is better to walk away. Rather than staying stuck in that conflict, Iman moves toward a more certain version of herself.
That theme has been taking shape throughout her 2026 releases.
“Tip Toes” arrived on February 6 as her first independent single after leaving Universal Music Singapore. “Out Of My Mind” followed on May 1, while “IT IS” arrived on August 21 with a message centered on confidence and self-worth.
Together, the songs helped introduce the sound and attitude behind Afterglow.

Iman Fandi Mixes Pop and R&B With a More Confident Sound
Musically, Afterglow sits between modern pop and R&B, with a polished sound that matches its focus on independence and self-confidence.
However, the project is not meant to be serious all the way through.
Iman describes part of the EP as enjoying the stage of life where you can celebrate your growth, spend time with friends, and make ordinary moments feel special.
That lighter side keeps the record from becoming only a story about walking away from relationships. Instead, Afterglow also looks at what happens after that decision: rebuilding confidence and enjoying the freedom that comes with it.
Iman previously told Grazia Singapore that the idea for Afterglow developed during a period of reflection about her life, career, music, and relationships. She said the process made her feel more ambitious about what she wanted to create independently in 2026.
‘Tip Toes,’ ‘Out Of My Mind,’ and ‘IT IS’ Built the Afterglow Era
Each of Iman’s earlier singles introduced a different part of the EP’s larger story.
“Tip Toes” opened her independent chapter with a playful approach to attraction and confidence. Tatler Asia reported that the track was the first release from the project and marked her move into greater creative control after five years with a major label.
“Out Of My Mind” followed in May, continuing the pop and R&B direction.
Then came “IT IS,” perhaps the clearest preview of the confidence behind Afterglow. The August release focuses on knowing your worth and not feeling pressured to prove it to someone else.
That track also helped connect Iman with a Filipino audience.
Before its release, she appeared in social media content with KAIA and RAMONA, after meeting the Filipino artists at the NBA Rising Stars Invitational in Singapore.
2026 Has Taken Iman Fandi From Singapore to Los Angeles
Afterglow arrives after a busy year of live performances for the Singaporean artist.
One of her biggest stages came during Singapore’s National Day Parade on August 9, where she performed “Giants” at the National Stadium with The People’s Choir and Singapore athletes and coaches.
The official National Day Parade site credits “Giants” as written by Weish and performed by Iman. The event drew about 42,000 people to the National Stadium.
Earlier in the year, Iman also performed during halftime at Singapore’s March 31 AFC Asian Cup qualifying match against Bangladesh. The match carried an extra family connection, with her brothers Irfan, Ikhsan, and Ilhan Fandi involved with Singapore’s national team.
Her music then travelled beyond Singapore in August.
On August 15, Iman performed at Superstar Among Friends: Broadus Together at Snoop Dogg’s compound in Los Angeles. The invitation-only event was part of TikTok LIVE Fest 2026 and marked another international stage for the singer.
Who Is Iman Fandi?
Iman Fandi is a Singaporean singer, performer, and model whose music combines modern pop and R&B.
She began releasing music in 2021 and spent five years with Universal Music Singapore before moving into her independent chapter in 2026. Forbes reported that her debut single “Timeframe” passed one million Spotify streams before she began releasing music independently.
She is also the daughter of Singapore football legend Fandi Ahmad, though her recent releases have increasingly focused attention on the musical identity she is building on her own.
With Afterglow, that independent chapter now has its first full project.
