BGC Pinoy Playlist Musikahan 2026 returns to the BGC Arts Center on October 17 and 18 for two days of OPM performances, group singing, karaoke, talks, art, and community music-making.

National Artist for Music Ryan Cayabyab curates the event with Noel Ferrer, Moy Ortiz, and Maria Isabel Garcia.

This year, audiences will do more than sit and watch. The program includes a One-Day Choir, Community Karaoke, Modern Harana, a Music-Making Zone, and live shows across several BGC Arts Center spaces.

Tickets start at ₱600 for students and ₱1,800 for a regular one-day adult pass.

Pinoy Playlist Musikahan Runs on October 17 and 18

The two-day event takes place at the BGC Arts Center on 26th Street corner 9th Avenue in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig.

Doors open at 1:30 p.m. on both days.

Registration for wristbands runs from 1:30 p.m. to 8 p.m., while talks, performances, and public activities continue into the evening.

Instead of putting every activity on one stage, PPM will use several areas around the Arts Center.

These include:

  • Globe Auditorium
  • Zobel de Ayala Recital Hall
  • Sun Life Amphitheater
  • Alveo Central Plaza
  • Bonifacio High Street

The setup lets visitors move between concerts, workshops, talks, art, and outdoor activities during the day.

Ryan Cayabyab Leads the 2026 Program

Ryan Cayabyab remains at the center of the festival.

He joins fellow curators Noel Ferrer, Moy Ortiz, and Maria Isabel Garcia in shaping this year’s mix of OPM and community activities.

On October 18, Cayabyab will also join Acapellago for Pinoy Playlist Musikwentuhan.

He then leads the festival finale at 9 p.m.

The closing program, ā€œPainting the Colors of OPM,ā€ combines Cayabyab on piano with singers from several Filipino choirs.

Participating groups include the Ateneo Chamber Singers, Benilde RomanƧon Chamber Singers, Imusicapella, Kammerchor, Koro Ilustrado, Los Cantantes de Manila, Mass Appeal, Novo Concertante, PCSO Chorale, UAP Chorale, UE Chorale, and UST Singers.

Artists led by Manny Garibay and Linangan Art Residency will paint on a shared canvas while the musicians perform.

The Dawn, The Company and More Perform on Saturday

October 17 includes several live performances and interactive sessions.

The current Saturday program includes The Dawn: Iisang Bangka, as well as a collaboration featuring Happy Andrada, The Company, and Anima Tierra.

Talahib will also perform a program called Babaylan, Magkaisa sa Kapayapaan.

Geca Morales and vydd join an OPM Spotlight session.

The Zobel de Ayala Recital Hall will also host Salinawit, led by Prof. Mike Coroza. The session looks at giving foreign songs new life through translations into Philippine languages.

Earlier in the afternoon, music therapist Thea Tolentino joins the Pinoy Playlist Conversations session, ā€œHealing with Music.ā€

Three Filipino Music Figures Receive Ryan Cayabyab Awards

Saturday will also include the Pinoy Playlist Ryan Cayabyab Awards.

The 2026 honorees are:

  • Dr. Grace Nono
  • Prof. Chino Toledo
  • Noel Cabangon

The awards recognize their work and long-term contribution to Philippine music.

Special tribute performances will also form part of the program.

The awards are included in regular October 17 festival access.

Anyone Can Join the One-Day Choir

One of the main Saturday activities is the One-Day Choir at Globe Auditorium.

The session runs from 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. and is held with DIWA Singing Club.

Toma Cayabyab and Irvs Redor will lead participants as they learn VST & Company’s ā€œAwitin Mo, Isasayaw Ko.ā€

You do not need to be a trained singer.

BGC Arts Center puts it simply:

ā€œNo auditions, no pressure, and no perfection required.ā€

Participants will learn the parts together before singing as one group.

A special ticket and advance registration are required. The registration deadline is October 13 at 11:59 p.m.

Sunday Brings Community Karaoke

The October 18 program puts another Filipino group activity at the center: karaoke.

Community Karaoke runs from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Globe Auditorium.

Participants can sing OPM with 3rd Avenue, a live show band.

The playlist comes from a curated and fan-voted list of Filipino songs.

People can join as individuals or reserve a table for a group of up to 10.

The activity requires a special ticket and is not included in a normal Sunday pass.

More Filipino Artists Perform on Sunday

Sunday also includes live sets from several OPM artists and musicians.

The current lineup includes Rony Fortich with Jep Go, Toni Santos, and VEEJ.

Acapellago joins Ryan Cayabyab during Pinoy Playlist Musikwentuhan.

There is also an improv session with Eva Cuenza.

FlipMusic will present performances from Nica Del Rosario, Matthew Chang, and Vvink.

Before the music starts, the four PPM curators will join an afternoon conversation called ā€œWhy Does Culture Cost?ā€

The discussion looks at the money, work, and other resources needed to support culture and the arts.

Modern Harana Takes OPM Outside the Theater

Not everything happens inside the BGC Arts Center.

Modern Harana runs from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Alveo Central Plaza and Bonifacio High Street on both days.

The activity brings back the Filipino tradition of singing for someone special.

Participants can join for a chance to have an artist serenade a partner, parent, family member, friend, or another person they choose.

The event also spreads PPM beyond the indoor stages and into the surrounding BGC area.

The Music-Making Zone Is Open on Both Days

The Sun Life Amphitheater becomes the Music-Making Zone from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.

Activities include a ukulele workshop, instrument tryouts, artist performances, group jams, and interactive music stations.

Visitors can also bring an instrument and play with other people.

The area is designed for families and visitors who want to make music instead of only hearing it.

Meanwhile, Alveo Central Plaza will host BGC Art Mart from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Local artists and makers will sell their work during the weekend.

Music and Visual Art Meet at ā€˜Mga Guhit ng Awit’

PPM also brings music into visual art through Mga Guhit ng Awit.

Artist Isaiah Cacnio leads the interactive installation at Alveo Central Plaza.

Visitors can turn the feelings they get from music into drawings.

Those drawings will then appear as projections on the BGC Arts Center facade.

Projection begins at 6 p.m.

The installation runs on both October 17 and 18.
