Angela Ken Announces ‘Tayo Lang’ Single Ahead of First Solo Concert
Last Updated on September 23, 2026 by Over Here Toronto
Filipino singer-songwriter Angela Ken will release her new single “Tayo Lang” on September 25, 2026, less than a month before her first solo concert. The song will also become part of her October 18 show, “Panahon Na Natin,” at the New Frontier Theater in Quezon City.
“Tayo Lang” comes from Angela’s early years as a songwriter. She wrote the song years before her current run of releases, then returned to it and made changes to the lyrics before its official release.
The track arrives as Angela prepares for the biggest solo show of her career so far.
‘Tayo Lang’ Dates Back to Angela Ken’s Early Songwriting Years
Angela has kept “Tayo Lang” with her for years before deciding to release the full song.
ABS-CBN describes it as the first song she ever wrote. Its September 10 announcement says she first made the track in her earlier songwriting years and later changed some parts before preparing it for release.
Angela said time helped shape the song before she finally decided to share it.
“Ngayon ko pa lang siya ilalabas nang kumpleto. There are changes sa lyrics niya, there are tweaks. Pinagtibay rin siya ng panahon,” Angela said.
A recent social media teaser also gave listeners part of the song before its September 25 release. The lines point to a person choosing love without holding back. Daily Tribune reported the teaser on September 22.
Fans can follow updates from Tarsier Records and Angela Ken as the release date approaches.
Angela Will Perform the Song at ‘Panahon Na Natin’
“Tayo Lang” will also be part of Angela’s first solo concert.

The concert begins at 7 p.m., according to current event listings. Ticket prices currently range from about ₱1,600 to ₱5,229 through TicketNet, depending on the section and ticketing charges.

The Concert Takes Its Name From Her ‘Panahon’ EP
The title “Panahon Na Natin” connects directly to Angela’s Panahon EP, which came out on May 8, 2026.
Billboard Philippines says the October concert takes its name from that release.
Angela plans to perform songs from the six-track EP during the show. She has said the songs look at different points in a person’s life.
The EP includes tracks such as “simula ngayon,” “kahapon,” “Pwede Bang Mamaya?” and “baka bukas.” In an ABS-CBN interview, Angela explained that each song deals with a different feeling or part of life.
“Tayo Lang” adds another song to this part of her career.
Angela has said her newer work lets her show more of what she wants to do with her music after several years in the industry.
John Prats Will Direct the October Show
Director John Prats will handle “Panahon Na Natin.”
Angela said the concert will focus on the meaning behind each set and performance. She also wants the show to feel close to the fans who have followed her music through the years.
The concert will bring together older songs, material from Panahon, and newer work such as “Tayo Lang.”
No full set list has been announced yet. The official releases checked for this article also do not give a final list of guest performers.
That means any guest names or song lists posted elsewhere should remain unconfirmed unless Angela, Tarsier Records, ABS-CBN Events, or the concert team announces them.
Angela Ken Broke Through With ‘Ako Naman Muna’
Angela gained wide attention in 2021 with “Ako Naman Muna.”
Daily Tribune reports that the track has passed 70 million Spotify streams. She followed it with her self-titled debut album in 2022. The album included songs such as “Akala Maling Akala” and “It’s Okay Not to Be Okay.”
Her later work includes “Pwede Bang Mamaya?,” “Alas-Diyes,” and “Baka Bukas.”
Angela has also worked with other Filipino artists. Billboard Philippines notes that she co-wrote BINI’s “Shagidi,” worked with Maki on “Sikulo,” and joined Over October for “Moved on Last” earlier in 2026.
Her move toward a first solo concert now brings those years of music into one full show.
‘Tayo Lang’ Arrives September 25
For now, the next date for fans to watch is September 25.
“Tayo Lang” will arrive on music streaming platforms that Friday. Angela will then bring the song to the stage when “Panahon Na Natin” takes place on October 18.
The concert comes several weeks after the single release, giving listeners time to hear the track before its live performance.
Fans planning to attend should use TicketNet for current tickets and check Angela Ken, Tarsier Records, ABS-CBN Events, and New Frontier Theater for any updates before the show.
