Savoy Hotel Manila has been named Asia’s Leading Airport Hotel 2026 at the World Travel Awards. The Pasay hotel also took home the Philippines’ Leading Airport Hotel title for the sixth year in a row.

The World Travel Awards handed out the honors during its Asia, Oceania & Indian Ocean Gala Ceremony on September 27, 2026, at CROSSROADS Maldives. Savoy Hotel Manila General Manager Den Navarro received the two awards for the hotel.

The Asian title marks Savoy Hotel Manila’s second win in the category. It first received Asia’s Leading Airport Hotel in 2021.

The hotel sits in Newport City, just 350 meters from Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 3, according to its official site. Its location makes it an option for travelers with early flights, late arrivals, layovers, and short stays in Metro Manila.

Savoy Hotel Manila Wins Two Awards

Savoy Hotel Manila received two titles during the 2026 World Travel Awards ceremony.

The hotel won Asia’s Leading Airport Hotel 2026, putting it ahead of nominees from Singapore, Thailand, South Korea, China, India, and Malaysia.

It also kept its Philippines’ Leading Airport Hotel title.

Savoy has now won the Philippine award for six straight years, from 2021 through 2026. Its latest Asian win comes five years after it first took the regional title in 2021.

The hotel thanked guests, workers, partners, and voters after the results came out.

“Maraming, maraming salamat for believing in Savoy Hotel Manila and in the Filipino hospitality we are proud to share.”

The hotel said the awards also recognize the work of staff across its rooms, restaurants, front desk, and other hotel teams.

World Travel Awards Held Its Asia Gala in the Maldives

The World Travel Awards held its Asia, Oceania & Indian Ocean Gala Ceremony on September 27, which was also World Tourism Day.

Travel and hotel groups from across the regions gathered at CROSSROADS Maldives for the ceremony.

The awards cover hotels, airlines, tourism boards, travel companies, destinations, and other parts of the tourism sector.

World Travel Awards began in 1993.

Its winners come from an online voting process. Travel workers and consumers can vote. A standard vote counts as one, while a vote from a verified travel industry professional counts as two.

Savoy competed against nine other hotels for the Asian airport hotel title.

The nominees included Crowne Plaza Changi Airport in Singapore, Grand Hyatt Incheon in South Korea, Hong Kong SkyCity Marriott Hotel, Sama-Sama Hotel KL International Airport, and Tune Hotel KLIA-KLIA2.

Tune Hotel KLIA-KLIA2 had won the Asian title from 2022 through 2025.

The Hotel Marks Its Eighth Year in 2026

The award comes during Savoy Hotel Manila’s eighth year of operations.

The hotel marked the anniversary earlier in 2026 and said its focus remains on serving both local and international travelers.

It has also worked on projects tied to sustainability and community programs in Pasay.

One of its current projects centers on the sampaguita, the national flower of the Philippines. The hotel has worked with schools and local groups on activities linked to the flower and Filipino heritage.

Savoy also promotes its MEGreen program under Megaworld Hotels & Resorts. The program covers environmental work and other efforts across the hotel group.

The Philippines Also Won Tourism Awards

Savoy Hotel Manila was not the only Philippine name recognized during the September 27 ceremony.

At the same World Travel Awards event, the Philippines received the titles Asia’s Leading Beach Destination 2026 and Asia’s Leading Tourist Board 2026.

Those awards cover the country’s tourism sector, while Savoy’s two titles focus on the hotel category.

The results add to a busy year for Philippine hotels. Earlier in September, the MICHELIN Guide also released its 2026 Key hotel list, which included nine properties across the Philippines.

Savoy’s award comes from a different program with a different selection system. World Travel Awards uses voting, while the MICHELIN Key program uses hotel evaluations by its inspectors.

What Travelers Should Know

Savoy Hotel Manila’s latest award does not change its location or regular booking process. Travelers can still book directly with the hotel or through other travel platforms.

People with flights through Terminal 3 may want to compare room rates, transfer options, check-in times, and baggage needs before booking.

The World Travel Awards result gives the hotel its second Asian airport hotel title and sixth straight Philippine airport hotel title.

For travelers planning an overnight stay near NAIA, check current rates and room availability directly with the hotel before your flight.
