Last Updated on October 1, 2026 by Over Here Toronto
Singer, actor, and host Raymond Gorospe will hold his first major solo concert, “My Story, My Music,” on October 2, 2026, at the Celebrity Club Ballroom in Quezon City.
The one-night show will look back at Gorospe’s years in music and entertainment. He plans to perform ballads, OPM songs, original tracks, duets, and songs tied to different parts of his life.
The concert will also bring several guest performers to the stage. Tickets range from ₱1,000 to ₱5,000, with dinner and cocktail options available in the higher tiers.
Ponti Entertainment Production is producing the show.
‘My Story, My Music’ Marks a Career Milestone

Gorospe has performed at corporate events, private functions, Valentine shows, and other live programs for years.
Still, a major concert under his own name had remained one of his goals.
The October 2 show changes that.
Gorospe said plans for a large solo show had come up before but did not push through. He has described this concert as a project that arrived at the right point in his career.
“It’s a dream come true for me, it’s a blessing. I’m really happy and excited for the concert.”
The title “My Story, My Music” reflects the format of the night. Songs will connect with stories from his childhood, family, friendships, career, faith, and difficult periods in his life.
He also plans to speak to the audience between parts of the program.
The Setlist Will Include Ballads and Original Songs
Gorospe has said ballads remain a major part of his music.
The concert will include songs that helped shape him as a performer, along with OPM favorites and medleys.
Two original tracks will also be part of the program.
“Bawat Umaga” carries an uplifting message about moving forward after hard times. Another song, “Miss Universe,” brings a lighter part to the set.
Gorospe has also named Martin Nievera as one of the singers whose work influenced him. He has spoken about songs such as “Be My Lady,” “The Promise,” and “Kahit Isang Saglit” while discussing music he has admired over the years.
The final full setlist has not been released.
Ima Castro and Other Guests Join the Show
Several singers and performers will join Gorospe during the concert.
The announced guest lineup includes:
- Ima Castro
- Beverly Salviejo
- Madonna Decena
- Isha Ponti
- Esay Kirstin
- Fourth-generation singers from Hagibis
Castro, known for her work in Miss Saigon, has a personal link to Gorospe. The two have known each other for years, and Castro is also his daughter’s godmother.
Madonna Decena reached the semifinals of Britain’s Got Talent, while Esay Kirstin appeared on Idol Philippines.
Isha Ponti has another role beyond performing. She leads Ponti Entertainment Production, the team behind the concert.
The Concert Will Honor Friends Who Have Died
Part of “My Story, My Music” will remember people who became part of Gorospe’s career and personal life.
The show will include a tribute to three late friends:
- Russian soprano Janina Lorelai
- George Tagle of The Angelos
- Manila’s Best Dressed founder Steve Young
The segment fits the concert’s focus on looking back at the people and events that shaped Gorospe’s path.
The program will also use photos and videos from different periods of his career.
A Younger Production Team Works With Gorospe
Ponti Entertainment Production is handling the show.
Calvin Neria serves as concert director, while Adonis Tabanda is the musical director.
The production brings Gorospe together with younger members of the creative team. He said their ideas have helped shape the video work, stage plans, and other parts of the concert.
“When two generations come together like this, you really get the best of both worlds.”
The concert team has worked on visual material using photos and videos from Gorospe’s career.
Those materials cover his work in music, acting, hosting, commercials, and other projects.
Gorospe Built a Career Across Music, TV, Film, and Hosting
Gorospe’s work has gone beyond singing.
He studied nursing after his father encouraged him to take a more practical career path. Still, he continued taking singing jobs and later moved into acting, commercials, modeling, and hosting.
His screen credits include appearances in “Maria Clara at Ibarra,” “The Secrets of Hotel 88,” “April Boys: Sana’y Mahalin Mo Rin Ako,” and “Torotot.”
He has also worked as a commercial model for several brands.
Hosting later brought him two Aliw Awards for Best Male Host.
Gorospe also represented the Philippines at the World Championships of Performing Arts in Los Angeles in 2015, where he earned medals in several categories.
Outside entertainment, he competes in dragon boat racing. He has joined local and international races with his team, including competitions in the senior category.
A Difficult Period Also Shaped the Concert
Gorospe has spoken about a difficult period before and during the pandemic.
A business decision before the lockdowns affected much of his savings. Soon after, live performances and events stopped as COVID-19 restrictions took effect.
He has credited his wife, family, friends, dragon boat teammates, and Bible study group with helping him during that period.
Those years later became part of the story behind the October concert.
Instead of focusing only on career highlights, the show will also cover setbacks and the lessons Gorospe took from them.
