Jackson Wang Releases ‘Thank You,’ Signs With Roc Nation

Jackson Wang’s “Thank You” is a personal tribute to the fans who have stayed with him through every stage of his career. Released on September 21, the new single arrives alongside another major move for the Hong Kong artist: a new management deal with Roc Nation, the entertainment company founded by JAY-Z.
The song also comes with a black-and-white music video built around Jackson’s own story—and the fans who helped shape it.
“Thank You” Puts Jackson Wang’s Fans at the Center
Instead of treating fans as background extras, Jackson brought them directly into the “Thank You” music video.
Directed by Ojun Kwon, the video features 30 real Jackson Wang fans chosen after applications came in from more than 80 countries. Fans featured in the project came from different parts of the world, turning the video into a global thank-you note.
The video moves through different parts of Jackson’s life and career. Each person, outfit, and visual reference represents a relationship, memory, or chapter that helped shape him.
That includes his early years in sports, his friendships, his music career, and where he is now as an artist.

The Music Video Was Shot on iPhone 18 Pro
One of the biggest production details behind “Thank You” is that the official video was shot on iPhone 18 Pro.
Apple officially launched the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max earlier this month, with general availability beginning September 18 in its first group of markets.
That makes Jackson’s latest video one of the early music projects to put the new phone’s camera system to work.
It also follows Jackson’s previous collaboration involving Apple’s iPhone camera technology. His 2025 “Let Loose” video used the iPhone 17 Pro as part of its production.
For “Thank You,” though, the visual approach is much more intimate. The black-and-white treatment keeps the focus on Jackson, his memories, and the people appearing beside him.
Jackson Wang Signs With Roc Nation
The release also opens a new business chapter for Jackson.
He has officially signed a management deal with Roc Nation, making “Thank You” his first new single following the partnership.
Roc Nation was founded by JAY-Z and works across artist management, music, entertainment, sports, and other parts of the industry.
The move comes as Jackson enters a new stage of his solo career after the release of his third studio album, MAGICMAN 2, in 2025.
The album debuted at No. 13 on the Billboard 200, giving Jackson another major U.S. chart entry. His official biography also notes that the album placed him inside the Top 15 of the Billboard Artist 100.
“Thank You” Comes After the MAGICMAN 2 Era
MAGICMAN 2 arrived on July 18, 2025 with tracks including “High Alone,” “GBAD,” “BUCK” featuring Diljit Dosanjh, “Hate to Love,” and “Made Me a Man.”
The album later became the center of Jackson’s second major solo world tour.
In 2026, the tour reached North America, including an April 10 show at Barclays Center in Brooklyn. Jackson’s official website says the tour also included sold-out runs at venues such as the Kia Forum and Barclays Center.
Jackson also returned to one of his earliest passions this year. In July 2026, the International Fencing Federation named him its global ambassador, connecting his current platform with the sport he competed in before his music career.
Jackson Wang’s Connection With Manila
For Filipino fans, the message behind “Thank You” feels especially familiar.
Jackson brought the MAGICMAN 2 World Tour to Smart Araneta Coliseum on November 2, 2025. It marked the first time the MAGICMAN tour itself reached the Philippines, although Jackson had performed in Manila before, including Head In The Clouds Manila in 2022.
The Manila show ended with Jackson speaking directly to Filipino fans about self-acceptance, happiness, and getting through difficult moments.
He also thanked the crowd for spending their time with him and said he hoped people would leave the concert with more than just memories of the performance.

After the show, Jackson described the Manila stop as “insane” and said he finally understood the “Manila vibe.”

“Thank You” appears to mark a transition rather than simply another single.
