TRENTAHIN Brings ’90s Filipino Horror Nostalgia to Its First Halloween Party in Makati
Last Updated on October 24, 2026 by Over Here Toronto
Halloween is getting a nostalgic twist as TRENTAHIN brings childhood horror memories, throwback music and rooftop partying together for its first Halloween edition on Saturday, October 31, 2026.
Unlike typical Halloween parties built around costumes and late-night clubbing, TRENTAHIN pairs familiar Filipino horror references with a nightlife format for adults who still enjoy going out without sacrificing the next day’s rest.
A Halloween Party Inspired by Filipino Childhood Scares
The celebration draws inspiration from Filipino horror favourites, including Shake, Rattle & Roll and the Halloween specials of Magandang Gabi… Bayan.
These references bring back the childhood frights that once kept viewers glued to their television screens. Guests can expect horror-inspired costumes, nostalgic music and a rooftop party setting.
For millennials who grew up watching local horror films and TV specials, the event offers a chance to relive those memories with friends.
The event takes place at The Fun Roof in Poblacion, Makati, giving millennials a chance to revisit the music and spooky pop culture of their younger years.
DJ Mars Miranda Leads the Night
One of the event’s main attractions is DJ Mars Miranda, a veteran of Manila’s 2000s clubbing scene. His career includes sets at well-known nightlife venues such as Temple, Embassy and Republiq.
Known for his hip-hop and R&B sets, Miranda brings a sound many millennial partygoers will remember. His appearance fits TRENTAHIN’s focus on throwback music, sing-alongs and familiar nightlife experiences.
Nightlife for the 30+ Crowd
Launched in June 2026, TRENTAHIN was created for people aged 30 and above who still enjoy music, dancing and social gatherings but prefer a schedule that fits their current lifestyles.
Its signature “HOME BY 12MN” philosophy encourages guests to start the night earlier and get home at a reasonable hour. An afterparty is also available for those who want to keep celebrating.
According to the organizers’ October 21 press release, the first five editions recorded 4,689 guest visits, including back-to-back events with more than 1,000 guests.
The series has also reported over five million cumulative social media views.
