SB19 is taking another major step in Japan as the P-Pop group continues building its international path.
The Filipino supergroup’s latest Japan activities include a SUMMER SONIC 2026 debut, a Japanese television appearance on NTV’s DayDay, a stage collaboration with Kento Nakajima, and the Japanese edition of Wakas at Simula under Sony Music Japan.
Together, these moments show how SB19 is moving deeper into one of Asia’s most important music markets.

SB19 Makes Its SUMMER SONIC Debut in Osaka and Tokyo
SB19 recently performed at SUMMER SONIC 2026, appearing in both Osaka and Tokyo.
The festival placed the group on a major Japanese stage alongside international and local acts. For SB19, it also created a chance to introduce P-Pop to more Japanese listeners through vocals, choreography, and live performance.
PABLO described the Osaka and Tokyo shows as another milestone for the group. He shared that SB19 prepared a set showing different sides of their music, from high-energy tracks to songs that highlight their range across genres.
Kento Nakajima Joins SB19 for GENTO
One of the biggest moments from SB19’s Tokyo set came during GENTO.
Japanese artist Kento Nakajima joined the group onstage, creating a cross-cultural moment between Filipino and Japanese pop audiences.
Nakajima said he had the chance to write part of the lyrics for the track. He also shared that adding new lyrics to GENTO came with pressure because of the song’s importance to SB19. However, the members encouraged him to stay true to himself.
As a result, the performance has increased interest in a possible official GENTO collaboration involving Nakajima.
SB19 Makes Japanese Television Debut on DayDay

Alongside the festival appearance, SB19 made its live television debut in Japan on NTV’s DayDay on August 13.
During the program’s Dotti Dotti segment, the group performed LAWLESS in Japan for the first time. The appearance introduced Japanese viewers to SB19’s current sound and performance direction.
The episode also featured the members in a playful segment with host Ryota Yamasato, known as Yama-chan.
For JUSTIN, appearing on Japanese television required careful preparation while still allowing SB19 to remain true to its identity. He said being welcomed into a Japanese television program felt like a major milestone for the group.
Wakas at Simula Japanese Edition Supports the Japan Push
SB19’s recent activities also connect to the Japanese edition of Wakas at Simula.
The album is now available through major record shops and online retailers in Japan under Sony Music Japan. The release supports the group’s wider push into the market by connecting recorded music with live performances, media appearances, and fan activities.
For JOSH, the group’s Japan opportunities feel like an important step forward. He shared that SB19 is grateful to perform, collaborate with Japanese artists, and connect with new audiences.
A Bigger Chapter for P-Pop in Japan
SB19’s latest Japan run shows how the group is turning long-term goals into real opportunities.
With SUMMER SONIC 2026, a Kento Nakajima stage collaboration, a Japanese TV debut, and the release of Wakas at Simula in Japan, SB19 is helping bring P-Pop into more international spaces.
KEN shared that the group hopes to return for more performances, television appearances, and media features in Japan. Most of all, SB19 wants more listeners to hear their music and understand who they are as artists.
