Ben&Ben Releases First Anthology Album ‘Nine’

Ben&Ben has released Nine, the Filipino folk-pop band’s first anthology album. The nine-track record arrived on September 24, 2026, through Sony Music Entertainment and looks back on the group’s first nine years together.
The album brings back seven older songs in new versions. It also includes the 2025 single “Saranggola” and a new song called “Harinawa.” The release comes days before Ben&Ben’s October 2 concert at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

‘Nine’ Looks Back at the Band’s First Nine Years
Ben&Ben announced Nine on September 9, or 9/9, as a project built around the group’s first nine years.
Instead of putting old recordings together in one set, the band returned to several songs and recorded new versions. The members changed parts of the music based on how they play those songs today.
Lead singer and guitarist Paolo Benjamin described the idea behind the process in a statement shared with Bandwagon.
“Reimagined, for us, is letting the songs grow up with us.”
The band said the years since the original songs came out changed both the members and the way they play together.
Poch Barretto led the full production of Nine. Longtime Ben&Ben collaborator JP Verona and producer Ziv also worked on the album. Luke and Eo played drums on songs recorded while drummer Jam Villanueva was recovering from an injury.
What Songs Are on Ben&Ben’s ‘Nine’?
The anthology has nine tracks.
Seven are new versions of songs from different points in Ben&Ben’s career. “Saranggola” returns as the only previously released track on the set that is not marked as reimagined, while “Harinawa” is new.
The album includes:

- “Sunrise (Reimagined)”
- “Doors (Reimagined)”
- “Autumn (Reimagined)”
- “Lifetime (Reimagined)”

The band had already shared several of the new versions before the album came out.
“Lifetime (Reimagined)” arrived in March. Ben&Ben followed it with “Autumn (Reimagined)” in May and “Leaves (Reimagined)” in August.
The full anthology now places those songs beside four more reworked tracks.
‘Maybe the Night’ Takes Ben&Ben Back to 2017
Ben&Ben chose “Maybe the Night (Reimagined)” as a key song for the album.
The original has a close link to the start of the nine-member band. The members first worked on it together in Jam Villanueva’s attic in 2017. It became the first song they arranged from start to finish as a full nine-piece group.
Bassist Agnes Reoma said the song later led to several early moments for the group, including their first Paskuhan performance, a film soundtrack, and their first band trip outside the Philippines.
The new recording gives listeners a way to hear how the group’s sound has changed since that first session.
It also fits the main idea behind Nine: taking music from the past and playing it from the point of view of the band in 2026.
New Song ‘Harinawa’ Points Forward
The final song, “Harinawa,” gives the album new material instead of ending only with songs from the past.
Ben&Ben wrote and finished the track in 2026, during the group’s ninth year. The song carries a message of hope and closes the album with its focus on what may come next for the members.
Percussionist and backing singer Toni Muñoz said the band hopes the nine songs can stay with listeners during different points in their lives.
The song also arrives during a period of change for Ben&Ben.
Drummer Jam Villanueva announced in December 2025 that 2026 would be her final year with the band. She has been part of the nine-member lineup since its early years.
Nine therefore records a group lineup that will soon change.
‘Saranggola’ Concert Comes Next
Ben&Ben will follow the album release with Saranggola: The Concert on October 2, 2026, at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City.
GMA News reported earlier this month that the concert had sold out. The show will also serve as Villanueva’s final major concert with the group before her planned exit.
The concert title comes from “Saranggola,” which also appears on Nine.
The song received two awards at the 39th Awit Awards on September 15. Ben&Ben won Best Performance by a Group and Best Musical Arrangement for the track.

The Album Covers Several Stages of Ben&Ben’s Career
Ben&Ben began with twin brothers Paolo and Miguel Benjamin Guico before growing into a nine-member group in 2017.
The lineup includes Paolo and Miguel Benjamin, Poch Barretto, Jam Villanueva, Agnes Reoma, Patricia Lasaten, Toni Muñoz, Andrew de Pano, and Keifer Cabugao.
The band later released three full studio albums.
Limasawa Street arrived in 2019 and included songs such as “Pagtingin” and “Araw-Araw.” Pebble House, Vol. 1: Kuwaderno followed in 2021. Ben&Ben then released The Traveller Across Dimensions in 2024.
The songs chosen for Nine stretch across that wider timeline.
“Ride Home,” “Maybe the Night,” and “Sunrise” go back to the band’s earlier years. “Doors” and “Lifetime” came later. “Autumn” belongs to the period around The Traveller Across Dimensions. “Saranggola” then brings the record closer to the present.
For listeners, Nine is now available as a nine-song record rather than only an announced project. The next major date for the band is October 2, when Ben&Ben brings Saranggola to the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
