Filipino indie-rock band We Are Imaginary celebrates 18 years of making music with its official music video for “Are We There Yet?”
The track is the latest single from the band’s self-titled album, released in January 2026. Directed by Jam Lasin of Cream Flower, the video brings together band performances, candid moments, and visual references from the group’s journey.
It also pays tribute to the former members and collaborators who helped shape the band’s story.

A Look Back at 18 Years of Music
The “Are We There Yet?” music video shows We Are Imaginary doing what it does best: making music together. It combines live performances with candid moments from the band’s journey.
Through these scenes, the group reflects on the highs and lows of being a band. More importantly, it recognizes the people who helped them along the way.
“Keeping the fire burning is another hard choice, especially in a fickle scene and as a band that doesn’t really follow trends,” the band shared in a press statement.
The group also expressed its gratitude to former members and labels. It hopes the music video shows how much it appreciates everyone who contributed to its journey.
A Second Collaboration With Jam Lasin
The music video marks We Are Imaginary’s second collaboration with director Jam Lasin. Their first project together was “Object of My Affliction.”
The band has long admired the visual style of Lasin’s team at Cream Flower. This time, it trusted them to bring the concept for “Are We There Yet?” to life.
The Story Behind “Are We There Yet?”
“Are We There Yet?” is one of the singles from We Are Imaginary’s self-titled album, which came out in January 2026.
Guitarist Khalid Tanji wrote the song during the band’s pre-pandemic album project. In fact, it was one of the earliest compositions he created for the group.
The track also keeps the driving momentum and post-punk guitar sound of its original demo.
Vinyl and Merchandise Launch at Saguijo
The band will continue its music video celebration on November 8, 2026, at Saguijo. The event will feature a vinyl and merchandise launch, along with live performances from fellow artists.
It will also mark two firsts for the group: the release of its vinyl record and the debut of its first official tote bag.
Eikon Records PH’s Rick Olivares helped make the vinyl release possible. Meanwhile, Joey Santos of Floppy Disk handled the production.
For the band, having its music on physical formats gives its work a lasting form.
“We get giddy like schoolchildren having our music in tangible form,” shared Ahmad Tanji of We Are Imaginary.

What’s Next for We Are Imaginary?
After its self-titled album campaign, We Are Imaginary plans to return to the studio. The band is already working on new material and hopes to release more music in 2027.
It also plans to perform in more cities across the Philippines and abroad.
