BINI Makes History as First Filipino Group to Perform at Coachella 2026
Coachella officially announced P-pop group BINI as part of the 2026 Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival lineup. The eight-member “Nation’s Girl Group” will perform on April 10 and 17 in Indio, California.
This marks a major milestone, as BINI will be the first Filipino group in history to perform at the world-renowned music festival. The announcement confirms a dream the members had publicly shared earlier this year, placing them on one of the biggest stages in the world alongside headliner Sabrina Carpenter.
A Milestone for P-Pop
ABS-CBN’s Star Hunt Academy formed BINI in 2020 with members Jhoanna, Aiah, Colet, Maloi, Gwen, Stacey, Mikha, and Sheena. Since their 2021 debut with “Born to Win,” the group has become a powerhouse in the local music scene with viral hits like “Pantropiko,” “Salamin, Salamin,” and “Karera.”
Fans, known as Blooms, view the group’s inclusion in the Coachella lineup as a significant achievement for the global rise of P-pop.
A Growing Filipino Presence
BINI is part of a growing trend of Filipino talent being featured at Coachella. In recent years, other Filipino artists have taken the festival stage, including:
- No Rome (2019)
- Eyedress, Beabadoobee, and underscores (2025)
- Niana Guerrero (as a guest dancer in 2025)
BINI will also share the 2026 lineup with fellow Filipina performer Sophia Laforteza, a member of the multinational girl group KATSEYE.

The group confirmed the news on their social media, writing, “It’s official… BINI is heading to Coachella 2026! See you there, Blooms!!” Member Aiah also expressed her excitement, calling it a dream checked off their list.
The historic announcement drew praise from their peers in the P-pop community, with members of groups like SB19 and VXON congratulating them on the achievement.
Other major acts scheduled to perform at Coachella 2026 include Justin Bieber, BigBang, Karol G, Disclosure, and Foster the People.
