“Isang Pag-ibig” Finally Gets Its Official Release
Last Updated on September 10, 2026 by Over Here Toronto
For longtime IV OF SPADES listeners, “Isang Pag-ibig” is not exactly new.
A snippet of the track first appeared on the band’s SoundCloud in August 2015, before IV OF SPADES broke through to a wider audience with songs such as “Ilaw sa Daan” and “Mundo.” More than a decade later, the previously unreleased song now has an official release.
The timing gives the track a different weight. What began during the band’s earliest years now arrives after their reunion and the release of their sophomore album, Andalucia.
A Simple Sound Built Around an Honest Feeling

Musically, “Isang Pag-ibig” takes a relatively stripped-back approach.
The arrangement leans on jangly guitars, a straightforward chord progression, and the chemistry of a four-piece band, keeping the focus on the song’s emotional core.
At its heart, the track deals with a familiar but painful situation: wanting something genuine with another person while realizing that even giving your best does not guarantee that love will be returned.
That uncomplicated approach fits the song’s history. Instead of turning an older composition into something overly polished, IV OF SPADES allows its youthful directness to remain part of the release.
The Song Comes During IV OF SPADES’ Big Comeback Era

“Isang Pag-ibig” follows a major return for Unique Salonga, Zild Benitez, Blaster Silonga, and Badjao de Castro.
The quartet reunited in 2025 and released Andalucia, their second studio album. Since then, their comeback has moved beyond Manila through the Andalucia Tour 2026, with stops around the Philippines including Baguio, Davao, Santa Rosa, Cagayan de Oro, and Cebu.
Their live schedule is also expanding internationally. IV OF SPADES is set to perform across Canada and the United States in October 2026, with confirmed dates including Vancouver, Edmonton, Toronto, New York, and California.
“Kabisado” Keeps the Momentum Going
The band’s renewed momentum has also pushed tracks from Andalucia up the charts.
“Kabisado” entered the Billboard Philippines Hot 100 in April 2026 before climbing to No. 6 on the chart dated May 30. The song became IV OF SPADES’ third Andalucia track to enter the Hot 100, following “Aura” and “Konsensya.”
“Kabisado” has also attracted tens of millions of streams on Spotify, showing how strongly the band’s comeback has connected with both longtime listeners and newer fans.
IV OF SPADES Scores Major 2026 Award Nominations
The band’s latest chapter is receiving industry recognition, too.
IV OF SPADES earned two People’s Choice nominations at the Filipino Music Awards 2026:
- People’s Choice – Artist: IV OF SPADES
- People’s Choice – Song: “Kabisado”
Voting for the People’s Choice categories runs until October 4, 2026, ahead of the Filipino Music Awards ceremony on October 6.
The group is also among the leading nominees at the 39th Awit Awards, where Andalucia, “Aura,” “Kabisado,” “Konsensya,” and “Monster” received recognition across major categories. IV OF SPADES is additionally nominated for Producer of the Year.
The 39th Awit Awards ceremony is scheduled for September 15, 2026, at the SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.
Watch the “Isang Pag-ibig” Music Video
The single arrives alongside an official “Isang Pag-ibig” music video, directed by Kris Cazin.
The visual shows the band performing on a rooftop, with Billboard Philippines noting its visual nod to The Beatles’ famous 1969 rooftop performance.
Fans can watch the official “Isang Pag-ibig” music video on YouTube or visit IV OF SPADES’ official YouTube channel.
More than 11 years after its earliest known snippet surfaced online, “Isang Pag-ibig” connects the beginning of IV OF SPADES’ story with where the band stands today. Its arrangement may be straightforward, but its message about love, vulnerability, and unanswered feelings feels just as fitting in this new chapter.
“Isang Pag-ibig” is out now on digital streaming platforms worldwide.
