Läderach Philippines Debuts at SM Mall of Asia This September
Chocolate lovers in Manila are in for a treat as Läderach, the renowned Swiss chocolatier, is set to open its first store in the Philippines this September 2025.

SM Mall of Asia confirmed the news through its official social media channels, revealing that the Läderach Philippines branch will welcome customers next month. The storefront is already decorated with branded panels featuring images of its signature creations and the promise of “Swiss perfection.”
The grand opening will mark the arrival of one of Switzerland’s most celebrated chocolate brands in the country.
A Legacy of Swiss Chocolate Craftsmanship
Founded in 1962 in Glarus, Switzerland, by Rudolf Läderach Jr., the company first gained recognition for innovating the process of making thin chocolate shells for truffles. This advancement elevated both the texture and flavor of filled chocolates.
In 2004, Läderach introduced its most iconic product: FrischSchoggi—meaning “fresh chocolate” in Swiss German. Craftspeople handcraft these large slabs in Switzerland, topping them with premium nuts, fruits, and other gourmet ingredients, before breaking them into pieces for sale.
What to Expect at Läderach Philippines
The new Läderach Philippines store is expected to carry a variety of FrischSchoggi flavors, including:

- Brazil 70% Dark
- Almond Milk and Almond Dark
- Pistachio Dark
- Salted Caramel Milk-Dark
- Raspberry-Blackberry White
- Hazelnut Milk and Hazelnut Dark
Läderach offers more than chocolate slabs; it also specializes in pralines, truffles, chocolate-coated nuts, florentines, and even gourmet popcorn. Seasonal creations like the Summer Dream White-Dark, layered with blood orange, passion fruit, mango, and topped with edible Swiss Alpine flowers, could also make an appearance.
