UNIQLO Launches KAWS UNIVERSE Collection in the Philippines

UNIQLO has launched its new KAWS UNIVERSE collection in the Philippines, bringing new shirts, sweatshirts, and bag charms from artist KAWS to local stores. The line became available online and at UNIQLO stores nationwide on September 14, 2026.
The new release brings KAWS’ COMPANION character together with three new figures based on the Earth, Moon, and Sun. UNIQLO says the collection centers on the idea that people share the same world despite differences in place, age, and culture.

What Is in the KAWS UNIVERSE Collection?
The Philippine collection covers adult and kids’ clothing, plus three bag charms.
KAWS made new Earth, Moon, and Sun characters for the release. The designs place them beside COMPANION in different poses. Some shirts and sweatshirts also use the artist’s XX mark as part of the print or embroidery.
The current Philippine lineup includes:
- Adult UT shirts: 4 designs at ₱790 each
- Adult sweatshirts: 3 designs at ₱1,490 each
- Kids’ UT shirts: 3 designs at ₱490 each
- Kids’ sweatshirts: 3 designs at ₱990 each
- KAWS UNIVERSE charms: 3 designs at ₱790 each
The adult UT shirts use cotton and come in several designs that pair COMPANION with the new characters. UNIQLO Philippines currently lists adult shirts in sizes that include XS through 3XL on selected products.
Sweatshirts cost ₱1,490. Current product pages show designs based on the Sun, Moon, and Earth. Some have large graphics on the back, while others place the art on the front.
Kids also get their own shirts and sweatshirts. One kids’ design shows the Sun with COMPANION, while another sweatshirt shows COMPANION holding the Earth.
KAWS Adds Earth, Moon, and Sun Characters
The new figures form the main idea behind KAWS UNIVERSE.
KAWS based the three characters on things people around the world see and share. The artist said the new collection focuses on that common link.
“I’m excited to launch my next UNIQLO collection, featuring new characters inspired by the Earth, Moon, and Sun—three things we all live under.”
UNIQLO published the statement as part of its official launch material.
The collection also uses the phrase “We are better together.” UNIQLO says the designs show COMPANION and the new characters helping, holding, or standing beside one another.
KAWS and UNIQLO first worked together in 2016. Their past projects have placed the artist’s work on UT shirts and other clothing. The two have continued working together in the years since.
Bag Charms Join a KAWS x UNIQLO Collection
The KAWS UNIVERSE launch also adds small character charms.
The line includes charms based on the Earth, Moon, and Sun. Each one costs ₱790 in the Philippines.
UNIQLO says this marks the first time a KAWS collaboration with the retailer has included this type of bag charm. Buyers can attach them to bags, keys, or other items.
The Moon charm uses light green, while the Sun version comes in yellow. Both use polyester for the main character body and include a metal part made with zinc alloy.
Stock may differ by item, size, color, and store. UNIQLO Philippines lets shoppers check store stock on many product pages before buying.
KAWS Became UNIQLO’s First Artist in Residence
The collection also follows another step in the partnership between KAWS and UNIQLO.
In September 2025, UNIQLO named KAWS its first Artist in Residence. The company announced the role during an event at the Museum of Modern Art in New York.
The role goes beyond making clothes. UNIQLO says KAWS will take part in art programs and other projects as the partnership continues.
KAWS has worked across painting, sculpture, product design, and clothing during his career. His COMPANION figure has appeared in many parts of his work and now shares space with the Earth, Moon, and Sun characters in this new line.
Where to Buy KAWS UNIVERSE in the Philippines
UNIQLO Philippines says the collection went on sale September 14 through its online shop and stores.
Shoppers can check the KAWS UNIVERSE collection page on UNIQLO Philippines for current products and sizes.
Individual product pages also include a Find in Store option. This can help shoppers check stock before going to a branch. Still, stock levels can change as people buy items.
Online shoppers can choose home delivery or Click & Collect on eligible orders. UNIQLO currently offers free Click & Collect, while its product pages state that home delivery becomes free on orders above ₱2,000.
As of September 22, the KAWS UNIVERSE products already appear on UNIQLO Philippines’ current online listings. Shoppers looking for a certain design or size should check the site for the latest stock rather than wait for September 25, since the official Philippine release has already taken place.
